Sonia and I send you our love and best wishes on your 100th Birthday. We hope you’re enjoying all the attention. You certainly deserve it!
Not a day goes by in my life when I’m not reminded of what you have contributed to so many over the years. When I see a child alone or with his or her parents; a young student moving through high school and on to college or struggling to decide what to do next; parents struggling to provide for their families; senior citizens sitting patiently watching their grandchildren, you have touched each of them through your years of caring and acting on their behalf. Your years of service in the New Mexico House, being our social conscience, and consistently fighting for funds for programs to assist all those mentioned, will forever be part of your legacy.
To me personally, you have been an inspiration and guiding light in my life, and I will always be grateful for sharing your love and friendship. To your family, which has been so generous and gracious in sharing you with so many for all these years, thank you!
