Happy Birthday

Dear Mr. Taylor,

I have many fond memories of your home in Mesilla where my daughter, Amy and I lived for some time when we returned to New Mexico from Illinois.  We occupied the front room of your home where it was previously used by Amy’s Grandmother, Elizabeth Elder and her friend Mary Lou Leger as a needlepoint shop.  When they moved their shop to the house next door, Amy and I were lucky to live there.  As you told us at the time, it was a store your family used and as your family grew, there were more rooms added to the back.

My Great Aunt, Mary Keith, was a great admirer and friend.  You both contributed greatly to the Las Cruces schools.  Please accept our well wishes for this your 100th Birthday.  We wish you continued good health and a wonderful celebration to cherish throughout the year ahead.

Sincerely,

Kathy Mizrahi

I enclose a gathering of Hollyhocks which always remind me of Mesilla:
