A Peek Behind the Plaza Doors

Taylor Mesilla Historic Site

One of the things that has been happening at the Taylor Mesilla Historic Site during the past several months is the installation of a new HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system in the Taylor home. This is a long-term investment by the Department of Cultural Affairs that will benefit the facility, collection, visitors, and staff.

Because of this construction, the home will not be open as planned on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

From 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on the Mesilla Plaza there will be lots of family-friendly activities and booths highlighting the history and culture of the Mesilla Valley.

Taylor family members will be in the courtyard of the Taylor home from 11:30 – 1:30 if you’d like to visit with them. Refreshments and cookies will be available.
